12 Ways to Clean Up Your Vibration

Cleaning up your vibration is essential to successful manifesting. Many rely on techniques like journaling and visualization, but all you really need to get what you want is an aligned vibration. Once you get your vibe straightened out, your manifested desires arrive with greater speed and ease.

So how to clean up your vibration? It’s simple: Feel Good! But because that’s a foreign task for many folks, here are 12 tips to raising your vibration:

1. Food – fill your body with food that feels good, regardless whether someone says it’s good for you or not. They don’t know. Your body knows. When you eat or drink something you enjoy, your cells are nourished - regardless of carb, sugar or fat content. Enjoy feeding your body what it wants.

2. Sound – give your ears a feast! Listen to music you love; enjoy the sounds of water, birds, or children laughing; avoid sounds you don’t enjoy. Be selective about what you let into your world.

3. Thoughts – filter your thoughts so that you deliberately entertain thoughts that feel good. Although it may be impossible to eliminate all negative thoughts, you can give them less air time. Practice holding thoughts that lighten your heart and lift your soul.

4. Activitiesdo things you enjoy, and stop doing things you don’t! This is an amazingly simple tip to clean up your vibration. Look at your current to do list. What aren’t you looking forward to? Cross it off. Delegate or hire it out, or decide it doesn’t need to be done. Add three things to your list you’d LOVE. Not only does this tip get easier as you practice it, but life becomes a lot more fun!

5. Indulge – many of us were taught not to splurge or spoil ourselves. The truth is you deserve to be treated well by yourself and others. Set the example by spoiling yourself daily. Sleep in, take a long shower, go to bed early, read by the fire, let the calls go to voice mail, have a cup of hot chocolate, meditate, paint your toenails, get a massage, buy the little stuffed bear that makes you smile … listen for what your heart wants and indulge it!

6. People – you know those people who leave you feeling drained? Stop spending time with them. Seek out people who are fun to be around. Your vibration takes a toll each time you listen to someone’s tirade, and is lifted immensely when you share fun stories and laughter. Give your vibration the people it likes.

7. Books – Feed your soul uplifting energy with books that turn you on. Whether it’s a picture book of beautiful gardens, a children’s story, Oprah’s latest issue of O, Abraham-Hicks on CD - whatever does it for you – read (or listen to) something that makes you feel good. And stop reading what doesn’t feel good (this includes tabloids, trade journals, and daily newspapers).

8. Animals – one of the easiest ways to clean up your vibration is to spend time with a four-legged friend. If you don’t already have a companion animal, visit a neighbor’s, set up a bird feeder, or volunteer your services to a local animal rescue group. Spending time with animals works for virtually everyone and is a no-brainer way to feel better.

9. Nature – spending time in nature is also very cleansing to your energy. Take a walk in the park; sit on the porch to feel the breeze; lie on the grass to watch the clouds. Even raking the leaves or shoveling the snow is good for the soul!

10. Turn off the TV – this might seem inconceivable at first, but trust me, you’ll grow to love it. Filtering the vibrations you allow into your world is one of the best ways to clean up your own vibe. Know that if there’s news you really need, someone will tell you. If there’s a show that truly makes you feel good, tune in and then turn it off afterwards.

11. Metta practice – regularly experiencing love and appreciation will get your vibe squeaky clean in no time. Buddhists call it “metta” practice (loving kindness); and you’ve probably heard of Random Acts of Kindness. Practice sending out waves of love and appreciation to everything around you: mailmen, street signs and strangers included.

12. Declutter – cleaning up the energy of your immediate environment will improve your vibration as well. Practice simplicity. Let go of things in the house you don’t need or want; be selective about what you let in; and organize the spaces that need attention (basements and closets especially).

Start intially with the two tips that got your attention. As you clean up your vibration, you may experience minor side effects as your body adjusts to the new chemicals you’re flowing. This will pass, and it becomes easier to naturally maintain a high vibration – bringing you that much closer to dreams come true!
